Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for cryptography optimization and machine learning applications
- Design and execute complex quantum experiments using superconducting qubits and photonic systems
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure $2M+ in government grants and private funding
- Partner with Fortune 500 companies on quantum adoption roadmaps
- Contribute to quantum security frameworks for post-quantum cryptography
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Published work in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and statistical mechanics
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters and GPU acceleration
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical applications
