Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for NISQ-era hardware optimization

- Collaborate with MIT/Stanford researchers on error correction methodologies
- Develop patentable IP for quantum-resistant cryptography solutions
- Present findings at IEEE Quantum Week and Nature Quantum conferences
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DoE
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum machine learning applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (postdoc preferred)
- 5+ years experience with superconducting qubits or trapped-ion systems
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on quantum algorithms
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Proven track record securing government research grants
- Strong knowledge of quantum error correction codes (surface/low-density parity)
- Experience leading cross-functional R&D teams in high-growth environments
