Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications in finance, logistics, and drug discovery
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, computer scientists, and engineers
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Secure $5M+ in government/industry research grants through NSF and DoD programs
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum circuit architectures
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum assembly languages
- Experience securing federal research grants (NSF/NIH/DoD)
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy benchmarks
- Track record of leading quantum algorithm development teams
- Security clearance or ability to obtain Secret clearance
