Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for 2026-era applications in cryptography, AI, and materials science
- Direct cross-disciplinary teams of physicists, engineers, and computer scientists
- Design and implement fault-tolerant quantum systems operating at 100+ qubit scales
- Secure $50M+ in research funding through strategic partnerships with DARPA and NSF
- Develop commercialization pathways for quantum technologies targeting 2027 market entry
- Author breakthrough publications in Nature/Science journals
- Shape the global quantum computing roadmap through IEEE and ACM contributions
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or equivalent with 8+ years industry experience
- Proven track record of publishing 10+ peer-reviewed quantum computing papers
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience securing government grants exceeding $10M
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Strong background in cryogenic engineering and superconducting qubit systems
- Exceptional leadership managing teams of 15+ researchers
