Responsibilities
- Design and implement fault-tolerant quantum algorithms targeting 2026-scale computational challenges
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and ML specialists to prototype quantum applications
- Secure $1M+ in government/private grants for quantum research initiatives
- Publish breakthrough findings in Nature/Science journals and present at global quantum summits
- Establish industry partnerships with AWS, Google Quantum, and D-Wave for hardware access
- Mentor PhD researchers and develop quantum computing curriculum for internal training
- Drive commercialization of quantum solutions in finance and pharmaceutical sectors
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computational Mathematics with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals or conference proceedings
- Expertise in quantum error correction, algorithm design, and hardware-software co-design
- Proven track record of securing research funding and managing large-scale projects
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum development frameworks
- Experience with superconducting qubits, trapped ions, or photonic quantum systems
- Deep understanding of NISQ-era limitations and fault-tolerant roadmap planning
- Exceptional communication skills translating complex quantum concepts to stakeholders
