Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing fault-tolerant quantum systems with 99.9% coherence
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals and present at IEEE Quantum Computing conferences
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors and error-correction protocols
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from NSF, DARPA, and industry partners
- Mentor PhD candidates and lead quantum computing bootcamps
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design, Qiskit, and quantum annealing frameworks
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent peer-reviewed journals
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum assembly languages
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and superconducting qubits
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research grants
- Strong background in topological quantum computing or quantum error correction
