Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for machine learning optimization
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to mitigate qubit decoherence
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Publish research in top-tier journals (Nature Quantum, IEEE Quantum)
- Secure $1M+ in federal grants for quantum security initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum error correction techniques
- Develop patentable IP for quantum-resistant blockchain architectures
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 3+ years hands-on experience with superconducting qubits
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization
- Published research in quantum error correction or topology
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Experience securing DoE/NIST grants for quantum research
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex concepts for technical and non-technical stakeholders
