Responsibilities
- Design and develop novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Conduct experimental research on quantum hardware systems and error correction techniques
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping and testing quantum computing solutions
- Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Collaborate with industry partners to translate theoretical advances into practical applications
- Secure and manage research grants from government and private sector sources
- Mentor junior researchers and foster a culture of scientific excellence
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum computing frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Expertise in quantum error correction, fault tolerance, and quantum algorithm design
- Strong background in superconducting qubit systems or photonic quantum computing
- Proven track record of publishing in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Experience securing research funding through grant applications
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to work in collaborative, interdisciplinary teams
