Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors and control systems
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Lead cross-functional projects translating quantum theory into commercial applications
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to our open-source quantum frameworks
- Secure external funding through NSF and DoE grant applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related quantum field with 3+ years research experience
- Published work in quantum algorithms, quantum information theory, or quantum error correction
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Quil)
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and computational complexity
- Demonstrated experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, or IonQ)
- Excellent communication skills with ability to explain quantum concepts to diverse audiences
- Track record of securing research funding or industry partnerships
