Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications in finance, logistics, and pharmaceuticals
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using advanced error correction techniques
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for real-world deployment
- Author peer-reviewed publications in top-tier journals and present findings at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and foster cross-disciplinary collaboration with AI and materials science teams
- Secure federal and private funding for next-generation quantum research initiatives
- Contribute to open-source quantum computing projects and industry standards development
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of research experience
- Published work in quantum algorithms, quantum error correction, or quantum hardware optimization
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and classical simulation tools
- Experience with superconducting quantum processors or ion trap systems
- Demonstrated ability to secure competitive research grants (NSF, DoE, DARPA)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
