Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications in finance, logistics, and materials science
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and computer scientists on multi-million dollar research projects
- Publish peer-reviewed papers in Nature/Science journals and present findings at quantum computing conferences
- Develop error-correction protocols to advance quantum coherence beyond 1000-qubit systems
- Collaborate with government agencies (DARPA, NSF) on national quantum security initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates and drive quantum literacy programs for K-12 education
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of quantum computing research
- Expertise in quantum circuit design, error correction, and quantum machine learning frameworks
- Proven track record of publishing in top-tier journals (h-index >20)
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and simulation tools
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware and quantum control systems
