Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype quantum solutions in finance, logistics, and healthcare sectors
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week 2026
- Optimize quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to bridge quantum software-hardware integration gaps
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum literacy initiatives across the organization
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of quantum research experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithm design using frameworks like Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#
- Published record in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum simulation tools
- Demonstrated ability to secure competitive research grants (e.g., NSF, DoE)
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM, Rigetti, or IonQ)
- Strong background in topological quantum computing or quantum machine learning
