What You'll Achieve: Design quantum-resistant cryptographic systems, optimize quantum annealing processes, and publish research in Nature Physics. Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Design error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead research on quantum machine learning applications
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors
- Secure research funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Mentor junior researchers and publish 3+ peer-reviewed papers annually
- Present findings at IEEE Quantum Week and QIP conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 5+ years of quantum algorithm development experience
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature/Science)
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit simulators
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction principles
- Experience with quantum annealing hardware (D-Wave/Rigetti)
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- US citizenship required for government contract work
