Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning
- Develop quantum software frameworks compatible with superconducting and photonic processors
- Lead quantum error correction research to achieve fault-tolerant computation
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum literacy initiatives
- Secure $5M+ in government/private quantum research funding
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Expertise in linear algebra, complex analysis, and quantum mechanics
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum circuit optimization
- Experience with cloud quantum platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Track record of translating theoretical models to experimental prototypes
- Strong publication record in top-tier scientific journals
