Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional prototyping teams to translate theoretical models into functional quantum circuits
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to co-develop quantum error correction methodologies
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature Quantum or IEEE journals
- Secure NSF and DARPA grants for quantum computing initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science programs
- Develop quantum-resistant cybersecurity protocols for enterprise clients
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Computational Mathematics with 3+ years industry experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Q#, Cirq) and simulation frameworks
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals or conferences
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and statistical mechanics
- Experience with quantum hardware calibration and qubit manipulation
- Demonstrated ability to secure $500K+ in research funding
