Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for real-world applications in cryptography, materials science, and AI
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop scalable quantum error correction protocols
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum processor architectures
- Secure $5M+ in research grants through innovative proposal development
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum literacy initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of research experience
- Published peer-reviewed papers on quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Quipper, or Cirq)
- Experience with quantum simulators and cloud quantum platforms (IBM Q, Rigetti, or Amazon Braket)
- Track record of securing government or industry research funding
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and statistical mechanics
- Excellent communication skills with ability to translate complex concepts for diverse stakeholders
