Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical commercial applications
- Lead cross-functional research initiatives with hardware and software engineering teams
- Publish peer-reviewed papers in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Develop quantum error mitigation strategies for fault-tolerant computing
- Collaborate with government agencies on national quantum security initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum education programs
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum programming experience (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum information theory or quantum algorithms
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and statistical mechanics
- Experience with high-performance computing and parallel processing
- Ability to secure DoD/NSF-level research clearances preferred
