Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes using superconducting and photonic systems
- Collaborate with engineers to develop quantum error correction protocols and fault-tolerant architectures
- Publish high-impact research in leading peer-reviewed journals and conferences
- Secure federal and industry research grants to advance quantum computing initiatives

Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum computing platforms (e.g., IBM Q, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and classical HPC frameworks
- Strong publication record in quantum information science or quantum computing
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant design principles
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding through grants and partnerships
