Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for cryptography, optimization, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum systems using superconducting and photonic platforms
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical frameworks for practical industry deployment
- Secure and manage multi-million dollar research grants from DARPA, NSF, and private sector partners
- Mentor PhD researchers and publish findings in Nature/Science journals
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design next-generation quantum processors
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of industry research experience
- Expertise in quantum error correction, fault tolerance, and quantum simulation
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and classical high-performance computing
- Track record of publishing top-tier quantum computing research (minimum 3 Nature/Science papers)
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into experimental prototypes
- Experience securing government grants or corporate R&D funding
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and complex systems
