Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation challenges
- Develop error correction protocols to advance quantum coherence beyond 1000-qubit thresholds
- Lead cross-functional research teams in prototyping quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at global quantum computing conferences
- Secure and manage $5M+ in NSF and DARPA research grants
- Mentor PhD candidates and establish industry-academic partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development with demonstrated publications
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or PennyLane)
- Experience securing federal research grants and managing multi-year projects
- Published record in Nature/Science journals or equivalent high-impact venues
