Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental quantum computing projects using superconducting and photonic systems
- Develop error mitigation protocols and quantum error correction codes
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate quantum solutions with classical machine learning frameworks
- Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Secure patents for novel quantum computing methodologies
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum education initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and information theory
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing conferences/journals
- Familiarity with cryogenic engineering and quantum hardware constraints
- Experience with high-performance computing environments
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for government projects
