Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for cryptography optimization and machine learning acceleration
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum error correction systems
- Develop scalable quantum hardware architectures compatible with existing cloud infrastructure
- Collaborate with government agencies on post-quantum security standards
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at global conferences
- mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Secure $5M+ in annual research grants from DARPA and NSF
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum focus
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments
- Experience with superconducting or ion-trap quantum hardware
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex systems theory
- Ability to secure research funding through grant writing
- Security clearance preferred for government projects
