Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for real-world applications in finance, healthcare, and materials science
- Lead experimental validation of quantum protocols on superconducting and photonic platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions into classical computing frameworks
- Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals and industry whitepapers
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to intellectual property development
- Stay current with emerging quantum standards (IEEE P3205, NIST IR 8105) for 2026 deployment readiness
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and error correction techniques
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing conferences (QIP, ACM SIGPLAN)
- Demonstrated experience with quantum hardware integration (IBM Quantum, Rigetti)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Ability to secure DoD SBIR or NSF grants for quantum research initiatives
