Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-correction techniques to enhance qubit stability in 50+ qubit systems
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype quantum hardware-software interfaces
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at IEEE/APS conferences
- Secure $1M+ in government/private grants for quantum initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum circuit design tools
- Experience with cloud quantum platforms (IBM Quantum, Azure Quantum)
- Demonstrated ability to secure NSF or DoD grants
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
