Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Conduct rigorous quantum circuit simulations and error mitigation research
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop quantum software solutions compatible with emerging quantum processors
- Lead research initiatives focused on achieving quantum advantage in real-world applications by 2026
- Develop and maintain quantum computing frameworks and tools for internal and external use
- Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international quantum computing conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to the development of quantum computing best practices
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of quantum computing research experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithm development and quantum circuit design
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and simulation frameworks
- Strong background in quantum information theory and quantum error correction
- Demonstrated ability to publish high-quality research in quantum computing domains
- Experience with NISQ-era quantum hardware and hybrid quantum-classical algorithms
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to solve complex computational problems
- Strong communication skills with ability to articulate quantum concepts to diverse stakeholders
