Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical industry applications
- Develop error-correction methodologies to enhance qubit coherence and scalability
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes in cryogenic environments
- Collaborate with AI specialists to integrate quantum machine learning models
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at international conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF and DoD quantum computing grants
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science programs
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum computing or quantum algorithms
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Hands-on experience with superconducting qubit systems or trapped-ion quantum processors
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface, color, or LDPC codes)
- Strong track record of securing $500K+ in quantum computing research grants
- Deep understanding of topological quantum computing and fault-tolerant architectures
