Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum algorithm prototypes for practical applications in cryptography and material science
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum processor architectures
- Lead cross-functional research initiatives targeting quantum error correction breakthroughs
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Develop proprietary simulation frameworks for quantum circuit validation
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum computing methodologies
- Secure external funding through NSF and DoE grant applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, or Cirq)
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science journals
- Familiarity with quantum machine learning frameworks
- Experience with superconducting qubit manipulation systems
