Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Develop fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures with <0.1% error thresholds
- Create hybrid quantum-classical workflows for industrial-scale problem-solving
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum solutions for Fortune 500 partners
- Publish high-impact research in Nature/Science journals and contribute to open-source quantum frameworks
- Mentor junior researchers and establish quantum computing best practices
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of research experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (QAOA, VQE, Shor's algorithm implementation)
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and simulators
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing conferences (QIP, IEEE Quantum Week)
- Strong background in error correction codes (surface codes, LDPC)
- Experience with cryogenic systems and quantum hardware integration
- Demonstrated ability to secure >$1M in research funding
