Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical commercial applications
- Optimize quantum circuit performance on superconducting and photonic platforms
- Develop error mitigation strategies for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into experimental protocols
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $2M+ in DARPA/NASA quantum computing grants
- Mentor PhD interns and lead quantum hackathons
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science from Tier 1 institution
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Qiskit/Cirq or quantum assembly programming
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing journals (arXiv:quant-ph)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance protocols
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with quantum simulation frameworks
- Experience with quantum hardware calibration (IBM Q, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research funding
