Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications in 2026+ technology landscapes
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy protocols using 100+ qubit systems
- Collaborate with AI teams to develop hybrid quantum-classical machine learning frameworks
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure federal and private research grants totaling $5M+ annually
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum error correction and fault tolerance techniques
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Published work in Nature/Science or equivalent peer-reviewed quantum computing publications
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Demonstrated expertise in quantum error correction and topological qubit architectures
- Track record of securing federal research grants (NSF, DARPA, DOE)
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware calibration and control systems
- Strong background in theoretical computer science and computational complexity
