Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental research on quantum hardware integration and error correction protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate quantum research into commercial solutions
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Develop scalable quantum software frameworks compatible with emerging quantum processors
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent development
- Stay ahead of emerging quantum technologies through continuous learning and experimentation
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field (MS with exceptional experience considered)
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Quipper, Cirq) and quantum circuit design
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and quantum mechanics
- Proven research track record with published papers or open-source contributions
- Experience with cloud quantum platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket, Azure Quantum)
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Ability to thrive in interdisciplinary teams and communicate complex concepts clearly
