Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum-resistant encryption systems
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum processors
- Collaborate with AI researchers to hybrid quantum-classical machine learning models
- Publish peer-reviewed papers and present findings at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor PhD interns in quantum information theory
- Secure $1M+ in government/industry research grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Expertise in quantum circuit optimization and noise mitigation
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum simulation frameworks
- Experience with superconducting qubit architectures (IBM Quantum, Rigetti)
- Strong track record of securing research funding
- Preferred: Background in quantum machine learning or quantum chemistry
