Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning problems
- Lead R&D on quantum error correction codes for fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop quantum-classical hybrid architectures
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor junior researchers and secure $10M+ in government grants
- Develop quantum security protocols for 2026-era communication networks
- Partner with Fortune 500 companies on quantum industrial applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum machine learning frameworks
- Published 10+ peer-reviewed papers in quantum computing or condensed matter
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum assembly languages
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and superconducting qubits
- Strong background in topological quantum computing and anyon braiding
- Track record of securing NSF/DoD quantum research grants
- Exceptional problem-solving skills for NP-hard optimization challenges
