Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for cryptography optimization and machine learning acceleration
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims on superconducting and photonic platforms
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems operating at >1000 qubits
- Author peer-reviewed publications for Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory and supervise hardware integration projects
- Secure $2M+ in DARPA/NASA grants for quantum-resistant cybersecurity initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with 3+ years industry R&D
- Published research in top-tier journals on quantum error correction or variational algorithms
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems or photonic quantum processors
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical models into hardware-compatible implementations
- Expertise in Python/C++ with high-performance computing libraries (NumPy, TensorFlow Quantum)
- Strong track record of securing federal research grants or corporate partnerships
