Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum protocols on multi-qubit systems with 99.9% fidelity
- Develop error correction frameworks for fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors and control systems
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at international conferences
- Secure $5M+ in government and private sector research grants
- Mentor PhD researchers and drive quantum literacy initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of industry experience
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals on quantum algorithms
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and simulation frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Proficiency with cryogenic systems and quantum hardware interfaces
- Strong programming skills in Python, C++, and assembly-level quantum assembly
- Track record of securing government research grants (DARPA, NSF)
- Experience mentoring postdoctoral researchers and leading cross-functional teams
