Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications

- Collaborate with hardware engineers to translate theoretical models into practical implementations
- Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international quantum conferences
- Secure federal and private research funding through grant proposals
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years industry experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq) and high-performance computing
- Published record in quantum algorithm development or error correction techniques
- Strong mathematical background in linear algebra, probability, and complex systems
- Demonstrated experience with cryogenic quantum systems or photonics hardware
- Ability to secure competitive research grants (NSF, DARPA, etc.)
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills with engineering teams
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy benchmarks and NISQ-era constraints
