Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization problems in cryptography and drug discovery
- Develop error-correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum hardware architectures
- Publish findings in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, IEEE) and present at conferences
- Secure $2M+ in research grants through DARPA and NSF proposals
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Collaborate with industry partners to commercialize quantum solutions
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum computing platforms (IBM Q, Rigetti, D-Wave)
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Quipper)
- Publication record in quantum algorithm development or error correction
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and complex analysis
- Experience securing federal research grants
- Proficiency with Python, TensorFlow, and high-performance computing frameworks
