Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy protocols using IBM/Google quantum processors
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate quantum solutions into classical AI frameworks
- Author high-impact research publications for Nature/Science journals
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum error correction methodologies
- Develop patentable quantum hardware-software interfaces
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with Qiskit/Cirq quantum programming frameworks
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing conferences (QIP, TQC)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Proven track record of securing government/industry research funding
- Deep understanding of quantum machine learning applications
- Experience mentoring early-career researchers
