Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead research on quantum error correction techniques for fault-tolerant systems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for near-term applications
- Collaborate on quantum hardware architecture improvements with engineering teams
- Publish breakthrough research in leading journals and present at international conferences
- Secure research grants from government agencies and private foundations
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to lab's technical roadmap
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum computing frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in quantum simulation tools and quantum circuit optimization
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Experience with high-performance computing environments (HPC, cloud clusters)
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding or industry partnerships
