Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Lead quantum hardware-software integration projects with cutting-edge quantum processors
- Develop error-correction protocols for scalable quantum systems
- Collaborate with AI teams to create hybrid quantum-classical machine learning frameworks
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Secure $2M+ in research grants from NSF, DARPA, and industry partners
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
- Advise product teams on quantum computing commercialization pathways
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum error correction
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or other quantum programming frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research funding
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and quantum control systems
- Strong background in computational complexity theory
