Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum algorithm experiments using superconducting qubit systems
- Develop error-correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Lead cross-functional teams to implement quantum solutions in AI and optimization
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Secure $5M+ in grants from NSF, DARPA, and industry partners
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers
- Translate theoretical quantum mechanics into practical hardware innovations
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Q#, Qiskit)
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Proficiency with cryogenic quantum hardware (D-Wave, IBM Q)
- Demonstrated success securing government research funding
- Experience leading technical teams of 5+ researchers
