Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead prototyping of qubit architectures using superconducting and photonic systems
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to improve qubit coherence times
- Publish findings in Nature Physics/Science and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $2M+ in quantum computing research grants annually
- Mentor PhD interns from top-tier quantum programs
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or algorithm optimization
- Proficiency in cryogenic systems and microwave control electronics
- Expertise in tensor network simulations for quantum many-body systems
- Strong background in quantum information theory and complexity classes
- Track record of securing government/industry research funding
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for facility access
