Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable quantum communication networks with >99.99% fidelity
- Develop cryogenic cooling systems for quantum processors operating at 10mK
- Lead cross-functional teams in deploying quantum-safe encryption protocols
- Optimize qubit coherence times through advanced error correction algorithms
- Interface with government agencies on quantum security standardization
- Architect hybrid quantum-classical computing architectures
- Research and integrate emerging quantum materials (topological insulators, Majorana fermions)
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (MS with 5+ years experience)
- 3+ years experience with quantum hardware (superconducting/ion trap systems)
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface, LDPC)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Quipper, Qiskit)
- Certification in quantum security frameworks (NIST IR 8100)
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum computing
- Experience with cryogenic engineering and vacuum systems
- Strong background in topological quantum computing
