Responsibilities
- System Architecture: Design and implement scalable fault-tolerant quantum circuit architectures optimized for the 2026 hardware roadmap.
- Hybrid Integration: Develop seamless interfaces between quantum processors and classical supercomputing clusters to manage error correction and algorithm execution.
- Algorithm Translation: Translate high-level quantum algorithms into low-level hardware instructions (QASM) and optimize them for latency and fidelity.
- Performance Tuning: Analyze system bottlenecks in quantum error correction cycles and implement architectural improvements.
- Cross-Disciplinary Leadership: Collaborate with theoretical physicists to validate system constraints and guide the engineering team towards feasible solutions.
- Technical Mentorship: Mentor junior architects and software engineers in quantum computing best practices and system design patterns.
Qualifications
- Education: PhD or Masterβs degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field, with a focus on quantum mechanics or computational complexity.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in systems architecture, parallel computing, or high-performance computing (HPC).
- Tech Stack: Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum programming frameworks such as Qiskit, Cirq, or PyQuil.
- Quantum Knowledge: Deep understanding of quantum gates, superposition, entanglement, and quantum error correction (QEC) codes (e.g., Surface Code, Bacon-Shor).
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to solve complex, multi-variable problems in a high-stakes, fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
