Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings and transcribe them into accurate text documents with high precision and speed.
- Ensure all transcriptions adhere to medical terminology standards and client-specific formatting guidelines.
- Proofread and edit transcripts for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and clarity before submission.
- Adhere to strict deadlines and maintain a high productivity rate on a daily basis.
- Utilize transcription software and foot pedals efficiently to maximize workflow.
- Communicate effectively with the quality assurance team to resolve any discrepancies or clarifications.
- Handle sensitive patient information with strict adherence to HIPAA compliance and privacy regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; associate degree or certification in medical transcription preferred.
- Proven experience in medical transcription or a related field.
- Exceptional typing speed (minimum 60 WPM) and accuracy (minimum 98%).
- Strong command of the English language, including grammar and punctuation.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated home office setup.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
