Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive keyword research and competitor analysis to identify high-value opportunities.
- Optimize on-page elements, including title tags, meta descriptions, headers, and content structure.
- Execute technical SEO audits to improve site speed, crawlability, and indexability.
- Develop and implement off-page link-building strategies to boost domain authority.
- Monitor keyword rankings and organic traffic trends using tools like Google Analytics and SEMrush.
- Collaborate with content writers to ensure alignment between SEO strategy and editorial calendars.
- Generate weekly and monthly performance reports for stakeholders.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of proven experience in SEO, preferably in a remote or freelance capacity.
- Strong understanding of Google's core ranking factors and algorithm updates.
- Proficiency with SEO tools (e.g., Ahrefs, Moz, SEMrush, Google Search Console).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make actionable recommendations.
- Self-motivated and able to manage time effectively in a part-time, remote environment.
- Experience working with clients in the Washington D.C. or Illinois market is a plus.
