Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe audio/video recordings across legal, medical, and corporate domains
- Maintain strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance for sensitive materials
- Meet tight deadlines while ensuring 99%+ accuracy in transcripts
- Format documents according to client specifications (legal briefs, medical reports, etc.)
- Research and resolve complex terminology inconsistencies
- Utilize industry-standard transcription software and foot pedals
- Communicate proactively with project managers for clarification needs
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years professional transcription experience
- Proven typing speed of 80+ WPM with 98% accuracy
- Familiarity with Chicago-specific legal/medical terminology
