Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe medical dictations into electronic health records (EHRs)
- Ensure 98%+ accuracy in verbatim transcription of patient encounters
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance protocols for patient data security
- Meet daily/weekly productivity targets while maintaining quality standards
- Utilize specialized transcription software and templates efficiently
- Proofread and edit transcripts for grammar, clarity, and medical terminology
- Collaborate with QA team to resolve complex terminology queries
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of medical transcription experience
- Certified Medical Transcriptionist (CMT) or RHDS credential preferred
- Proficient in medical terminology and anatomy/physiology
- Exceptional typing speed (80+ WPM) with 98%+ accuracy
- Familiarity with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) and speech recognition software
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
