Responsibilities
- Convert audio/video recordings into accurate written documents with 98%+ accuracy
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and HIPAA compliance standards
- Format documents according to client specifications (MS Word, PDF, etc.)
- Research and clarify technical terminology/industry jargon
- Meet daily/weekly production deadlines while maintaining quality
- Utilize specialized transcription software and noise-reduction tools
- Participate in quality assurance reviews and feedback sessions
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years professional transcription experience
- Exceptional typing speed (75+ WPM) and accuracy
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and transcription software
- Strong command of English grammar, punctuation, and style
- Ability to handle diverse accents and challenging audio quality
- Self-discipline and time management for remote work
- High-speed internet connection and quiet home office setup
- Preferred: Medical/legal transcription certification
