Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings and transcribe spoken content into written text with a high degree of accuracy and speed.
- Proofread and edit transcripts to ensure proper grammar, punctuation, and syntax are utilized.
- Adhere to specific client formatting guidelines and style guides.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive medical and business information.
- Utilize transcription software and foot pedals efficiently to maximize productivity.
- Meet daily and weekly production deadlines consistently.
- Resolve ambiguous audio segments by researching terminology when necessary.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or higher preferred.
- Previous transcription experience (medical transcription background is a strong plus).
- Exceptional command of the English language, including grammar and vocabulary.
- Fast and accurate typing skills (minimum 60 WPM).
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet workspace.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and transcription-specific tools.
